The AI medical scribes, on their own numbers.

Twelve products that draft the clinical note from the conversation. Every price below was read off the vendor's own pricing page and links back to it. Where a vendor publishes nothing, this page says so rather than guessing.

12products compared
7publish a price

0pay us a commission

Nobody on this page pays us.

Elsewhere on this site we publish the commission each tool pays us, because on most pages there is one. Here there is not. Every one of these twelve vendors was checked for an affiliate or referral programme — across their site, their full sitemap, and their partner pages — and none of them runs one.

Where a vendor has a “partners” page it is for EHR resellers and integrators, not for referrals. So there are no affiliate links here, and the order below is alphabetical within each group rather than anything we were paid to arrange.

The comparison

What each one costs, and who it is built for.

Sorted by whether the vendor tells you the price. That single split matters more than any feature list: it separates the products you can sign up for this afternoon from the ones that start with a sales call.

How to choose

Three questions that settle it faster than a feature list.

Are you buying for yourself?

Then only the 7 products with a published price are realistically in play. Start with the 3 that run a real free plan — Heidi Health, Tali AI and Lyrebird Health — because you can test them on your own notes before any money moves.

Does it have to reach your EHR?

This is where the cheap tiers stop. Freed puts EHR push on its top tier only. Tali AI publishes the longest integration list here. Sunoh.ai is built around syncing the note back. If the note has to land in the chart automatically, check that before price.

Are you buying for a hospital?

Then price is a contract, not a page — and the shortlist is Abridge, Suki, Nabla, DeepScribe and Augmedix. Compare them on scope instead: coding and revenue cycle, nursing, and how the vendor handles review.

Quote only · 5 products

Priced by contract, not by page.

Aimed at hospitals and health systems. None of them publishes a rate, so the honest comparison is what the platform covers rather than what it costs.

Abridge

Hospitals and health systems

Documentation, revenue-cycle coding and nursing notes on one platform.

Price

Tiers
No public pricing — contact sales

Built around the enterprise contract: pre-visit context, real-time decision support and billing capture, not a card-and-go signup.

Suki

Questions

The things people actually ask first.

What is an AI medical scribe?

Software that listens to a clinical encounter and drafts the note from the conversation, so the clinician reviews and signs rather than types. The twelve products on this page all do that; they differ in who they sell to, what they publish about price, and how deeply they push the finished note back into the EHR.

How much does an AI medical scribe cost?

Of the twelve vendors here, seven publish a price and five do not. The published range runs from $39/mo for a capped plan up to $199/provider/mo, with the common full-featured tier landing between $104 and $160/mo. The five that publish nothing are all aimed at hospitals and health systems, where price comes out of a contract.

Which AI scribes have a genuinely free plan?

Three: Heidi Health, Tali AI and Lyrebird Health each run a $0 tier rather than a countdown trial. Heidi's is the least restricted — it includes unlimited documentation. Tali caps it at 5 scribes and 60 minutes of dictation a month; Lyrebird at 50 transcribe actions and 10 documents.

What are the alternatives to the best-known AI scribe?

For an individual clinician the closest published-price alternatives are Freed, Tali AI and Lyrebird Health, all of which list a rate and offer a free tier or trial. For a practice, S10.AI and Sunoh.ai publish per-provider rates. For a hospital, the comparison is Abridge, Suki, Nabla, DeepScribe and Augmedix — and none of those five publish a price.

Do you earn a commission from these tools?

No. Not from a single one. Every vendor on this page was checked for an affiliate or referral programme across their site, their sitemap and their partner pages, and none of the twelve runs one. Where a vendor has a "partners" page it is for EHR resellers and integrators, not for referrals. There are no affiliate links on this page because there is nothing to be affiliated with.

How was this page compiled?

Each vendor's own pricing page was read on 7 August 2026 — fetched directly, or rendered in a browser where the figures are injected by JavaScript, which is the case for Heidi. Every figure links back to the page it came from. Nothing here is taken from a review site or estimated.
